Ricky opened his first business, Sneakers in 1989. He then went on to open his first restaurant selling crawfish in 1992 which was named Bullwinkles. Ricky went on to open multiple stores between College Station, Huntsville, Dallas, and finally settled in Nacogdoches with Bullfrogs and Burgers Wings and Brew. Ricky retired and sold Bull
Ricky opened his first business, Sneakers in 1989. He then went on to open his first restaurant selling crawfish in 1992 which was named Bullwinkles. Ricky went on to open multiple stores between College Station, Huntsville, Dallas, and finally settled in Nacogdoches with Bullfrogs and Burgers Wings and Brew. Ricky retired and sold Bullfrogs in 2015. He went back in 2017 to work and continued to work off and on helping restaurants til December. Kayleen and Ricky married in 2003 and together have 3 daughters. Kayleen and Ricky opened Clawdaddy’s Mkt with the sole purpose to teach their children and other local teens from surrounding towns work ethics, and to learn to be more social. This is the first non-alcohol serving establishment Ricky has ever done. He didn't want his children or other children to have to work in that environment. Most of their recipes are from Kayleen's family but the burgers are Ricky's old school recipe along with all the boiled favorites(crawfish,shrimp and crab). Kayleen has designed, perfected and built the restaurant, and staff into something she is incredibly proud of. Kayleen and Ricky hope to become the best restaurant of Nacogdoches.
